Appraisals are important to keep your jewelry safe and properly insured. The Jewelry Source has three graduate gemologists on staff trained by the Gemological Institute of America. We provide insurance evaluation information, diamond grading and gemstone identification. We use a gemological microscope, a symmetryscope/performance scope, polariscope, refractometer, dicroscope, specific gravity liquids, and ultraviolet lamps. We also have a master set of diamonds that have been color graded to check your diamond against the master set for color comparison.
