The Design Center
Our state of the art “design center”
features computer-aided design (CAD) programs to help you create your one of a
kind jewelry design. With our computer-aided CounterSketch program, you can
preview your piece before we start building it exactly as you imagine
it.
From the design to the finished product
of your custom piece, you will be part of the experience of making your dream
piece turn into a reality. We begin by carving a wax model where we capture the
smallest details of the design. After casting, setting and finishing, your idea
is completed to a beautiful piece of finished jewelry to last a
lifetime.
Gemological Services
The Jewelry has
three graduate gemologists on staff trained by the Gemological Institute of
America. We provide insurance evaluation information, diamond grading and
gemstone identification. We use a gemological microscope, a
symmetryscope/performance scope, polariscope, refractometer, dicroscope,
specific gravity liquids, and ultraviolet lamps. We also have a master set of
diamonds that have been color graded against the master set for color
comparison.
Repairs
The Jewelry Source is pleased
to provide fine quality jewelry repairs all done on site. Our shop houses
two excellent craftsman who are skilled and experienced and can problem solve to
help assist you with your needs. Whether it is the simple repair of a
chain or the complex jewelry repair of a treasured antique, our shop is capable
of providing quality service.
We are pleased to announce the addition of
the Crafford Laserstar laserwelder. This state of the art equipment will
allow The Jewelry Source to provide services in repair that were not previously
possible. Our trained craftsman can use this tool to repair most metals in
a manner that more traditional methods do not allow.
We have the capacity
to custom design. Based on a rendering or existing design, our expert wax carver
will hand craft from a block of wax your special piece. Once that is
approved, we than cast clean and polish the item in the metal of your
choice. We than hand set any stones and finish the piece to showcase
quality. We can produce for you a new piece of jewelry using your diamonds
and colored stones that you might have just lying around. Or we can
execute a one of a kind jewelry item that might include one of the unique
colored stones or diamonds that we offer.
We offer the service of hand
engraving as well as machine engraving. Hand engraving is truly a lost
art. Hand engraving gives us the ability to engrave jewelry items that
have an unusual shape or needs a specific custom design or message.
We
offer pearl and bead stringing. This is done by hand, individually
knotting between each pearl using a silk thread and keeping the pearls in the
exact order in which they were matched. We also provide clasp replacements
if it necessary, or can make styling suggestions to enhance the finished look of
your necklace.
We offer the services of a wish list for our
customers. This allows you to shop and select items of your liking.
Your loved ones and friends can shop from that list ensuring the gift you
receive is exactly what you want.
Our gift wrap is special. Every
gift box that leaves our store is wrapped to perfection using no tape and each
package has a unique frou-frou top that says this gift is from The Jewelry
Source.
Watch Repair
We provide movement repairs
for most watch brands as well as stem, crown, crystal and watch band
replacements. Most replacements are done while you wait, as well as most band
adjustments.
Our complete services are warranted for one year, parts
excluded.
